Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden in Třeboň is a small but very valuable and peaceful corner of the town, located near the center by the Augustinian Monastery. It was established in 1906 by Professor František Bubák as a teaching aid for natural science lessons at the Třeboň Grammar School. Covering an area of approximately 1.5 hectares, the carefully maintained garden is home to over 500 plant species, including medicinal herbs, trees and shrubs, flowers, and aquatic plants typical of the Třeboň region. The garden also features small ponds, educational boards, and benches for relaxation.

The garden serves not only as a space for education but also as a popular spot for peaceful walks and relaxation in greenery. It is open to the public during the summer months and often hosts guided tours, workshops, or school events. Since Třeboň is known for its unique natural landscape, the botanical garden beautifully complements the image of the town as a place where nature, science, and history come together. It is a hidden treasure that delights anyone seeking a quiet and inspiring place in the midst of urban life.
