The Okolo Třeboň cycling route is one of the most well-known and beautiful trails in the South Bohemian region. It connects the picturesque corners of the Třeboň area and offers visitors the chance to explore it comfortably from a bicycle saddle. The route is approximately 39 kilometers long and runs through easy, flat terrain, mostly along paved paths, pond dikes, and forest trails. Cyclists pass by significant ponds such as Rožmberk, Svět, Vítek, and Opatovický, while discovering charming villages, fishermen’s homesteads, wooden bridges, and quiet forests.
The route also features a number of interesting stops – whether cultural, such as the Schwarzenberg Tomb, or gastronomic, where cyclists can enjoy traditional fish specialties. The loop is ideal for a full-day trip and, thanks to its accessibility and flat terrain, is suitable even for families with children. The Okolo Třeboň trail is not only a sporting experience but also a journey of relaxation, beautiful nature, and the traditional South Bohemian landscape, inviting cyclists to slow down and savor every pedal stroke.
